Will Athletes At Singapore 2010 YOG Be Tested For Dope?
There is no apparent news about dope testing of athletes during the upcoming Singapore Youth Olympic Games YOG in the year 2010. While competitors at the Summer and Winter Olympic Games are routinely tested during the Olympic games, I have not heard anything about dope testing for athletes at the Singapore 2010 YOG.
As a matter of principle, dope testing should be carried out on athletes at international-level competitive games regardless of the age groups. There should not be any exceptions for the Singapore 2010 YOG.
We will have to monitor and see what the IOC and the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee SYOGOC have to say about this in the coming months.
