With the World Cup 2010 just days away, let me whet your appetite for soccer with football-related news. No it's not footballing news about England, Spain or Brazil or any of the other football powerhouses involved in the 2010 World Cup. It is news on football from the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games that will be held in August 2010.

As a result of a decision by the IOC and Singapore YOG, the Youth Olympic Games football finals will see youngsters from countries outside the traditional soccer nations playing in Singapore.

As a unique feature at the Singapore Youth Olympic Games football finals, all women teams from Chile (CHI), Equatorial Guinea (GEQ), Papua New Guinea (PNG), Iran (IRI), Trinidad and Tobago (TRI), and Turkey (TUR)will also be represented in the soccer finals.
