Brigadier-General (NS) Goh Kee Nguan was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) on 2 April 2008. BG Goh was a senior Singapore Armed Forces commander and organized the 2006 National Day Parade. He also headed the SAF joint-task force for tsunami relief operations in Indonesia in 2005.

Dr Ng Eng Hen will also join the Panel of Advisors from 1 April 2008 when he takes over the helm as the new Minister for Education.
