First Winter Olympic Youth Games In Innsbruck 2012
The world's first ever Winter Olympic Youth Games will be held in Innsbruck Austria in the year 2012.
This announcement of the winning host for the First Winter Olympic Youth Games In Innsbruck 2012 was declared on 12 December 2008 IOC President Jacques Rogge at the IOC headquarters in Lausanne.
Innsbruck will play host to about 1000 athletes aged 14 to 18 when they stage the First Winter Olympic Youth Games In Innsbruck 2012.
The competition schedule will be based on the seven sports included in the Vancouver 2010 programme (biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, ice hockey, luge, skating and skiing) with a limited number of disciplines and events.
Congratulations to Innsbruck, Austria on being selected to be the host of the First Winter Olympic Youth Games In Innsbruck 2012.
