Precautionary Measures Adopted at All Asian Youth Games Competition Venues

source: Asian Youth Games website

For the health and safety of all participants at the Asian Youth Games in Singapore, the Organising Committee (SAYGOC) have implemented precautionary measures at all AYG venues to ensure the well-being of everyone.

If you are going to the Asian Youth Games venues during competition, you should take note of these precautionary measures:

• All visitors would need to undergo thermal scanning at the point of entry (before ticket is torn)

• Visitors who have a fever will be denied entry, issued with a face mask, and be requested to seek immediate medical attention

• Visitors are urged to monitor your own health and if unwell (eg. with a fever, cough, sore throat, or runny nose), to please stay at home.

• Visitors are advised to arrive at venues early (we recommend at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start of competition) as delays could arise due to the precautionary measures

• For visitors who had purchased tickets and are denied entry on medical grounds (i.e. if they have a fever), a full refund will be made if the ticket is intact (i.e. it is not torn off) and the ticket is valued (i.e. not a complimentary ticket).

• In order to get a full refund, visitors must obtain and complete the Refund Form from the thermal scanning counter and return it at the on-site SISTIC ticketing booth together with the ticket(s).

Upon acknowledgement by SISTIC staff, visitors should retain the bottom portion of the Refund Form before leaving the premises.

For payment by credit card, SISTIC will do an auto-refund within the next 3-7 working days.

For payment by cash, SISTIC staff will call the customer within 3 working days to visit the SISTIC box office at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with their retained portion of the Refund Form and Identity Card/Passport to get their cash refund.

In the event that the customer is unable to visit SISTIC in person, he/she can authorize a proxy to get the refund. The proxy must produce the completed Letter of Authorisation, the retained portion of the Refund Form and a photocopy of the purchaser's Identity Card/Passport.

These Asian Youth Games precautionary measures are meant to deal with the threat of Influenza A H1N1 pandemic.

Your understanding and cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
