Countdown To Youth Olympic Games YOG Event has already started with about one year to go before Singapore hosts the world's first Youth Olympic Games.
On 14 August 2009, there will be a countdown to the Youth Olympic Games YOG event for supporters to cheer Singapore's efforts.

Time : 1700 - 2100 (GMT+8)
The YOG aims to inspire youth of the world to embrace, embody and express the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect through an integrated sports, culture and education programme.
Singapore will be hosting the first-ever YOG from 14 to 26 August 2010.
It will receive about 3600 athletes and 800 officials from the 205 National Olympic Committees, along with estimated 800 media representatives, 20,000 local and international volunteers, and more than 500,000 spectators.
Athletes - aged between 14 and 18 years - will compete in 26 sports and take part in a Culture and Education Programme.

Unveiling of Countdown Clock
• The countdown clock for the first YOG in Olympic history, sponsored by Omega, will be unveiled.
One-Year Countdown at 8.10pm
• A spectacular display of lights, sound and action as the countdown takes place
Youth Olympic Games Carnival
• Join our youth talents, sports personalities and local celebrities in sporting fun and celebrations at the Padang
YOG Celebration Concert and Party
• Enjoy performances by some of Singapore’s top talents from our schools and the entertainment scene
Commemorate Olympic Day
• Celebrate this historic milestone for the Olympic Movement - cheer on runners of the Olympic Day Run
